The bold color of the bird is a stark contrast to the almost monochromic backdrop. Best in Show and Wildlife category winner. This photo was chosen as best in show because of the incredible timing it would have taken to get such a magnificent shot. The wings are outstretched, the legs are pointed towards the branches and the overall composition is exemplary. In addition to showcasing wildlife, this photo can also be used in conjunction with Tribal Tourism promotions, as eagles are considered sacred among some area tribal nations. Winning images from the 2020 Governor's Photo Contest.
